Korean-American actor and visual artist Joseph Lee ジョセフ・リー (35) unveiled his first exhibition of paintings in Japan at the DIESEL ART GALLERY, which is located close to the newly build Miyashita Park Mall Complex.
Named “Pleasure in the Pathless Woods”, the works explore human perspectives and suggest on and off paths through metaphorical nature images.

Lee expresses his emotions that reside in a person through segmented brushstrokes, thick impasto oil painting, oscillating consciously between the abstract and the figurative.

Humbleness and success continue to be intertwined in his life as an artist.
As an actor, Lee’s credits include the 2018 Sundance Award-winning film “Searching”, the much-talked-about series “Beef”, which premiered on Netflix in 2023 and was nominated for 13 Emmy Awards, and the popular Paramount+ sci-fi series “Star Trek: Picard” (Season 3).
