推しの子 Oshi no Ko
『【推しの子】』（おしのこ）は、赤坂アカ×横槍メンゴによる日本の漫画、およびそれを原作としたアニメ、ドラマ、映画、演劇。『週刊ヤングジャンプ』（集英社）において、2020年21号から2024年50号まで連載された。1週遅れで『少年ジャンプ+』（集英社）においても毎週木曜更新で連載された。 原作担当の赤坂にとって4作目、作画担当の横槍にとって6作目となる連載作品であり、赤坂は『かぐや様は告らせたい～天才たちの恋愛頭脳戦～』連載中に本作を始めており、異例の2作品同時週刊連載となった。 主人公の青年が死後に前世の記憶を持ったまま、推していたアイドルの子供に生まれ変わる「転生もの」。ファンタジー設定でありながら、サスペンス要素や現代社会を投影した展開、芸能界の闇へ切り込むリアルさが本作の特徴である。 「推し」は、アイドルファンなどの間で「応援している人」の意味で使われ、本作タイトルは「推していたアイドルの子供に転生する」という意味が込められており、主人公とその妹のことを指す。表題に含まれる隅付き括弧は、外側が二重線になった独自記号を用いるのがタイトルロゴでの正式表記とされ、演出上の意味がある伏線となっている。 『週刊ヤングジャンプ』2023年37・38合併号より同年41号まで、本編の幕間の短編として、横槍視点で本作を描いた『【推しの子】 -interlude-』が全4回で掲載された（こちらは作画の横槍が単独で描いている）。 “Oshi no Ko” (【推しの子】, “My Favorite Idol’s Children” or “Their Idol’s Children”) is a Japanese manga series written by Aka Akasaka and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. It was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump from April 2020 to November 2024, with its chapters collected in 16 tankōbon volumes. It has been licensed for release in North America by Yen Press and is simultaneously published by Shueisha on their Manga Plus platform. It follows a doctor and his recently deceased patient who were reborn as twins to a famous Japanese pop idol and navigate the highs and lows of the country’s entertainment industry as they grow up together through their lives. An anime television series adaptation, produced by Doga Kobo, aired its first 11-episode season from April to June 2023. A second 13-episode season aired from July to October 2024. A third season is set to premiere in 2026. In North America, Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series with an English dub, which premiered on its Hidive streaming platform in May 2023. By November 2024, “Oshi no Ko” had over 20 million copies in circulation.
