村上隆、日本が好き、人気アーティスト ティファニー・クーパー Artist Tiffany Cooper, who loves Japan and MURAKAMI Takashi
Tiffany Cooper is one of the hottest French artists amongst the girly generation in Japan. Influenced by 村上隆 MURAKAMI Takashi’s works, she succeeded in a relatively short time to become one of the most sought-after illustrator-artists.
Quote from the interview at the magazine “numero”
The art-cultural affiliation with France by Murakami obviously produces a wide range of French followers, as his most famous exhibition at Versailles, with the tremendously enthusiastic support by his gallery Perrotin, put him into the annals of French art history.

Through these arty circumstances, Tiffany Cooper learned the way how to collaborate with famous fashion brands like Japanese UNIQLO and “Karl Lagerfeld in Japan” at the SEIBU and SOGO Department Stores.

Obviously her sympathetic “kawaii” attitude captures the spirit of world-wide Japanophiles and weeaboos, a.o.. How long this kind of phenomena will last, depends on the availability of new geek, fashion, anime and contemporary art movements in Japan.
For today, it seems, Tiffany Cooper hit the jackpot with a natural motion towards kids, girly arty things and all products which can be felt as “sensitive & super cute”. Cooper is currently working on an animated series project for children.
Last, let’s take to heart what she wants to tell us during these covid-19 times:
“…personally, I have become way more careful about being ecological : I decided I would travel by plane way less, I do compost, I use a green energy called Enercoop, I try to buy second hand clothes instead of new, I eat less meat…”
Regarding “kawaii” I created a complex work of reference for the uninitiated, check it out:
