なぜそうなのか？
特に日本の女性たちがそれを求めて戦ってきたからだ。フェミニズム、あるいはポストフェミニズムの精神にも沿っている。与党・野党を問わず女性政治家たちが地方レベルで互いに議論を交わす。対立して争うことはない。その結果、人間的な方法で社会を進歩させる合理的に考え抜かれた合意が生まれるのだ。
地方レベルで実施される規則や法律は、政治的立場に関わらず、現代の日本人女性の考え方を明確に反映している。
Why is that so?
Because Japanese women in particular have fought for it. Also in the spirit of feminism, or post-feminism. Female politicians from the ruling parties and opposition parties discuss issues with each other at the local level. They don’t argue against each other. This results in a rationally thought-out consensus that advances society in a humanistic way.
The rules and laws implemented at the local level clearly reflect the contemporary thinking of Japanese women, regardless of their political affiliation.

私の元妻は、政治的に右翼とは決して言えませんが、小池百合子（元自民党議員）に投票しました。なぜでしょうか？小池氏は女性だからです。

Why? The governor of Tokyo and the mayor of Suginami-ku (part/ward of Tokyo) are prime examples.
My ex-wife, who is certainly not politically right-wing, voted for KOIKE Yuriko (formerly of the LDP). Why? Because Koike is a woman.
Suginami-ku, where I live, voted out the old LDP stalwart ISHIHARA Nobuteru with YOSHIDA Harumi’s election (see my pics of her in the last days). And then elected an unknown, but radically feminist, civic-minded politician as mayor: KISHIMOTO Satoko (below pic: second from left, in front of Asagaya JR station).

さて、日本での40年間の個人的な経験と政治的関与について述べよう。投票権は認められていないものの、特定の政治家の選挙運動を行ったり、何かに抗議するデモに参加したりすることはできる。
渋谷駅では、川田龍平氏が演説を予告していた最中に、極右のデヴィ・スカルノ氏が未登録だった、アルベルト・フジモリのための選挙演説を中断するよう強要しました。
また、奈良市では、自民党の高市早苗氏に対抗して、HIV陽性の野党候補 (川田龍平ではない方)をさりげなく支持しました（彼女は敗北しました）。
Now to my personal experiences and political involvement during 40 years in Japan. Although I am not allowed to vote, I can campaign for certain politicians or demonstrate against something.
At Shibuya station, while KAWADA Ryuhei was giving his announced speech, I directly forced the far-right Dewi Sukarno to interrupt her campaign speech for Alberto Fujimori, as she was not registered.
