Yesterday, as I was walking through Madison Square Park on my way home, I came across a new piece of public art—an unexpected encounter that made me stop in my tracks. It turned out to be a work by Larry Bell (b. 1939, USA), an artist I’ve quietly admired for years.

偶然買ったランチのお寿司の色がラリー・ベルの作品の色と一緒！
｢サーモンであってアボカド｣
昨日たまたまマディソン・スクエア パークを通りかかったら新しいパブリックアートに出会いました。以前から好きなアーティスト Larry Bell (ラリー・ベル 1939年アメリカ生まれ)の作品でした。
同アーティストの白いキューブ3点の作品もあったのですが、特にこちらの作品に惹かれました。
作品タイトル
Cantaloupe but Honeydew (2025年)
カンタロープ も ハニーデュー もメロンの名前です。
ミニマルアートかと思っていた作品が、急に有機的になりました。
日本語にどう訳すべきかとAI に聞きました。
