Yesterday, while cutting through Madison Square Park on my way home, I stumbled upon a new piece of public art—an unexpected encounter that stopped me in my tracks. It turned out to be a work by Larry Bell (b. 1939, USA), an artist I’ve quietly admired for years.

Among the three white glass cubes installed nearby, it was this particular sculpture that drew me in with surprising force.
