Once upon a time, there was a pretty little girl. She said to her father, “Daddy, I want to be an art dealer like you.”
Dad: “Oh, that’s easy. Just “steal” artists your age who exhibit at emerging art dealers. Preferably from different countries so you can take beautiful holidays there.”
昔々、可愛い少女がいました。彼女はパパに「私もパパみたいなアートディーラーになりたい。」
パパ：「ああ、簡単だよ。イマージング・アートディーラーで展示している、君と同い年のアーティストたちを「盗め」ばいいんだよ。できれば色々な国のアーティストを。そうすれば素敵な休暇を過ごせるのに。」
I know the German David Zwirner, who is five years younger than me, from his time at LISTE (Emerging galleries fair in Basel). I also know his father, Rudolf Zwirner, well from my exhibitions at Art Cologne. Consequently, me becoming an expert not only concerning that fair, but about American, Swiss, Asian art fairs, too.
僕より5歳年下のドイツ人、デイヴィッド・ツヴィルナーとは、LISTE（バーゼルのイマージング・ギャラリー フェア）での経験から知り合いました。また、彼の父親であるルドルフ・ツヴィルナーとは、Art Cologneでの僕の展覧会を通して親しくしていました。おかげで、僕はそのフェアだけでなく、アメリカ、スイス、アジアのアートフェアについても精通しています。

“Kunstmesse Köln” co-founder Rudolf Zwirner’s symposia later during “Art Cologne”, which I attended, are legendary. He was talking about the hidden secrets in art business, and explained a.o. how the art market can be “artificially” inflated.

Obviously, I checked Nishimura’s work at the still running Art Basel.
Art critic Satoru Nagoya: “Mario A, one of the most brilliantly gifted – or perhaps I should say, the single most brilliantly gifted – oil painting artist in Japan”.

1. I find NISHIMURA Yu’s work extremely uninteresting and boring. A pretentious, mediocre Japanese art worker, a spoiled rich boy.
2. 43 years old NISHIMURA Yu is a godsend for speculators. A lightweight game ball for Art Flippers.

NISHIMURA Yu’s shitty paintings are a disgrace, especially in the context of other excellent Japanese artists who practice conceptually and create intelligent works.
西村有の超ダサい絵は、概念的に実践し、知的な作品を生み出す他の優れた日本のアーティストたちと比較すると、特に恥ずべきものだ。
