昨日、土曜日の夕方。東京、原宿のブラム ギャラリーのオープニング・レセプションに参加させていただきました。
奈良くんの新作「Fuck You!」が目立っていて、その絵に関して、現場のギャラリーでは説明がありませんでした。

「そんなんじゃねえだろ！Fuck You!」という奈良くんの文章がちょっと翻訳し難い。ご存知のように、曖昧な日本語の発言が英語にはほとんど通じません。いわゆる、we’re all fucked up。🤣

「そんなんじゃねえだろ！Fuck You!」が抽象的過ぎて、様々なパターンで英語の文書で紹介させていただきますね。

a) That’s not true! Fuck You!
b) It ain’t like that, Fuck You!
c) It’s not like that, Fuck You!
d) That’s not how it works, Fuck You!

さて、どちらの方が相応しいでしょうか。
奈良くん、君が具体的に何を言うつもりなの？
「That’s not true!」でしたら、「嘘」=「嘘だろう！」の意味となってしまいますよ。
我が国にっぽん🇯🇵、大人気の巨匠である、奈良くんの「ファック・ユー！」を気になる〜！！
彼が、このような文脈では「うんこ野郎！」(英語：You’re piece of shit / motherfucker; ドイツ語： Arschloch) も使っている。ºし`
今回の場合、「Call me Mr. Gokai」になるだろう。🤣

Yesterday I attended the opening reception at the BLUM gallery in Tokyo, Harajuku.
For the record, let me post NARA Yoshitomo’s latest work, prepotent “Fuck You!”, exhibited prominently in the gallery’s space.
As a veteran artist here in Japan and part of the Tokyo art scene since 40 years, I should write some sentences about yesterday’s opening reception on a Saturday evening.
Unfortunately, I am actually busy in creating new works for my coming two solo exhibitions in Ginza, Tokyo.
